A Letter from the President
As President of the Illinois Organization for Associate Degree Nursing and a Director for the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, I would like you to consider becoming a member of the organization. N-OADN is the organization that represents associate degree nursing across the country. Our organization consists of approximately 1,100 associate degree nursing educators and nurses from almost every state. We are an active, vibrant organization that continually seeks to maintain and improve the quality of associate degree nursing, as well as associate degree nursing education.
The Illinois Organization for Associate Degree Nursing offers a bi-annual conference that has been a great success. This past fall we had over 150 nurses in attendance with very positive feedback received. Additionally, it is a wonderful opportunity to network with colleagues from the profession.
In November we had our annual convention in Las Vegas. It was attended by over 500 ADN educators. We try to plan the convention so that it allows educational opportunities for new and also experienced nurse educators. It was a wonderful convention enjoyed by all. Our next convention will be November 14-16, 2008 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Besides discounted convention registration, as a member, you will receive benefits which include our monthly First Tuesday email communication, bi-annual newsletter and the N-OADN Journal titled Teaching and Learning in Nursing.
I hope you will consider becoming a member of the organization. It is a very small investment with a wonderful return. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours truly,
President
Illinois Organization of Associate Degree Nursing
